Studio Job has designed a series of lamps for The Banana Show, which is taking place at the Samuel Vanhoegaerden gallery, in Belgium.
This limited edition collection is made of seven different pieces that are designed to look like a peeled off banana.
The collection is made of five desk lamps, one wall lamp and one large lamp, each of them representing the different curves of the yellow fruit.
The pieces are made of polished bronze skin with mouth-blown glass fruit, lit with LED lights.
Another highligh on Banana Show is the Buoy mirror, with its red round ring-shaped frame, four white stripes and hand painted bananas, resembling a lifebuoy.
Other than the lamps, 30 drawings from Job Smeets' archives and seven banana drawings on paper over oak frames are on show. The studio is also releasing a new edition of its Paper collection, composed of a beautiful sideboard made of polyurethane-coated papier-mâché with polished bronze feet and handles.
The Banana Show is open until September 27 at Samuel Vanhoegaerden gallery in Knokke, Belgium.
