Antonio Citterio was born in Meda, Italy in 1950. He graduated in architecture from Milan Polytechnic and opened his studio in 1972, focusing on industrial design. He later expanded his scope, incorporating architecture and interior design into his practice. He has worked for Italian and international companies.
Citterio was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1987 and 1995.
He has numerous designs in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Pompidou Centre in Paris, as well as several other museums worldwide.
