Today I'd like to talk (ehh, write) about people who hire an Architect or Interior Designer to remodel their place. I think that's a great idea, specially if you have your ideas all over and don't know how to organize them. I'm an Architect working in an Interior Design office, and I have noticed that, many clients, are very indecisive with many things, but one of their most common issues are the floors. We would present our floor samples and people would change their minds over and over again. I mean, it's a very important decision, but hey, if you hired a proffessional person to make your space pretty, let them do their job. You can always tell them what do you like and what are your needs, but the more you change your mind, the longer the project will take, and probably, the more you'll spend. So, next time you are going to change you house floors, do some research, have some ideas, but decide with you designer which option best suits you. Remember there are a lot of choices (wood, vinyl, tile, marble, granite) but there has to be one that is right for you. It all depends on your budget, needs and taste. Get some magazines, surf the web, tell your designer what you like, and you'll find out. Good luck!
